Some businesses are not ready to take the leap to exchange their website in for a sale funnel and that’s
fine. The first steps are really simple. All they need to do is use the tools that are available online to
provide value and capture leads. It is nothing different, but it is very often not used.
Make Your Bait
As mentioned in most of my articles, the first step is to make something that is valuable to your best
client. This can be anything from a free session, consultation call, or an e-book on a topic that matters to
Sumo is one tool that comes to mind which can build lists through pop ups that offer bait for an email.
These can open when the visitor goes to leave the page or has consumed a certain percentage of material.
Use Messenger Bots
A messenger bot can also be used to direct new users to your Facebook page for later content.
Build Your List!
The main point of translating your website to be more like a funnel is to give value and gather leads. The
website does not need to be a massive complicated platform. It needs to give you an opportunity to
convert users later on. If it converts on the website, fantastic. If it doesn’t, we can provide more value
through email or messaging sequences to determine their needs and develop trust.
