We’ve all been there. Exhausted by sales, thinking, “what else could I possibly do?!”.
To be honest, you could do a lot more. This article is about what you can do today to get the ball rolling and change your mindset on sales!
We could all be doing more. This article is not meant to demoralize about what you haven’t done.
It is meant to empower you to see that you can do so much more when you stop seeing sales as something scarce and difficult, but exciting and abundant!
The Efficiency Legwork Sales Scale
Let’s be clear. You may be exhausted with sales, but that doesn’t mean you’ve tried everything.
If all of us tried everything when it came to sales, everyone would be getting cold calls every day.
Most entrepreneurs don’t want to go through the constant rejection of cold calling and that’s fine.
The only situation in which it’s not okay is if you’re complaining about not having enough sales.
You can always work harder at sales theoretically, but you only have so much time and energy in a day. Often you rather just focus on building your company in another way.
That’s okay. Cold calling is archaic and exhausting. Some of the best salespeople I know still hate it. I just want you to know that you can always work harder at generating sales. It just wouldn’t be efficient.
Once you start seeing that there are always more opportunities to generate sales, the world opens up with possibility for your company.
Here are some ways you can upgrade your sales today! If you’re missing one of these, that’s a good thing! It means you haven’t “tried everything”!
✅ Install a Facebook Pixel
This is most likely the easiest way to get real tracking on website visitors. By installing the Facebook Tracking Pixel, you will be able to retarget visitors based on their time spent on your site, interests, and multiple other uses.
It is as simple as making an ad account, creating a pixel, and installing it in the header of your website. If you need help, let me know and I will install it for you for free.
✅ Create a Lead Magnet
A lead magnet is bait for your perfect customer. The most used example of this is an e-book or a cheat sheet. These cheatsheets have the opportunity of using an interesting topic to introduce yourself as an expert and then call them to action.
✅ Build an Email List
Email lists are an amazing way to build an engaged relationship with your customer. They are also a great way to make sure that a random visitor turns into a follower. By offering your lead magnet in return for an email, you can build an email list that is free to advertise to.
You can strengthen your relationship with the prospect immediately with the Soap Opera Sequence.
✅ Make Offers To Your Existing List
If you have already built an email list and are not using it to generate sales you need to start. Look into Seinfeld Emails. These are emails that are everyday updates about your business or lifestyle that mention the importance of your service. If someone is engaged with your list, then it means they care about your company and the people attached. By personalizing these emails, you’re able to address any problems the customer may be facing and make an appropriate offer to monetize your list.
✅ Build a Messenger Bot
A messenger bot is yet another channel you can use to generate leads and create a lasting, engaging relationship with your customer. You can build your messenger bot using growth tools such as links, direct from ads, commenting, or website tools. The advantages of a messenger bot are their higher open rates, interactive nature for sales, and their potential for market segmentation.

✅ Create More Content
I find that this is the immediate answer business owners have to low sales. I want to talk about the pros and cons. Building content is a long game tactic. It is about building your brand and it will not generate immediate sales. If you are looking for immediate sales when building content, make sure to include a call to action at the bottom of every post or a list builder.
That being said, no business can survive in the long game without building content. It is an important tool to provide real and consistent value to your customers, but it is not a quick fix. Content is the substance of your company. Without building content, no one will know what you do, why you do, or why you’re the best at it. Every piece of content is an opportunity to help a client and make them remember your business when they need help.
Real Results I’ve Seen From Building my content:
✅ Build a Small Affiliate Program
You don’t have to be the best marketer in the world to set up a small affiliate program. You just need to talk to connected people who trust your company and show them the value of bringing you, clients. The main difficulty that many business owners make in setting this up is that they focus on the dollar amount. Telling another business owner that knows your work that you’ll pay them $50 to bring a new client to you won’t make them want to go out of their way. What you need to do is convey that you are committed to growth more than money and that they are a part of that growth.
Use this script when talking to someone you want to join your affiliate program. “Hey [person who knows I have an awesome product and have a real relationship with], I’m looking to grow my company faster and I’d love your help doing it. I’m going to compensate you 100% on the initial sale because I’m so passionate about growing this company. Are you interested?”
If you have an appropriate value ladder set up, that upfront payment will be a small amount compared to the value of the customer. Rather than saying a dollar amount, you are displaying how important they are in helping your company and are showing you’re willing to compensate with no immediate upside to you. This will be difficult if you’ve never given away money before, but if you have a solid value ladder that can get more value out of a client than that one purchase, it will be a drop in the bucket and the affiliate will know you value their help.

✅ Run Facebook Ads
I know everyone tells you to run Facebook Ads that it’s infuriating. Let me just tell you though, that feeling is because many of them don’t actually have results with it. They are saying it with empty promises. Let me tell you something as someone who has had amazing results with them. There is nothing more exciting than when you figure it out.
Here are the resources I’ve put together to help you out with regards to Facebook Ads.
✅ Cold Emailing
People often dismiss cold emailing just like cold calling. Though the open rates are dramatically lower than a warm email sequence, it has still generated incredible results for other businesses. Understand that even if something is not a magic bullet, you can just put less energy into it.
You don’t need to completely ignore a tool proven to be beneficial. If you are complaining about not generating sales, set up an account with Mailshake, find a leads online from Groupon or a generator, and send ten emails every day. Check the leads, but don’t give it any more time than needed. Keep it simple, offer value, and ask a question that prompts a single answer response.

✅ Start An Automated Customer Acquisition Funnel
If you’ve gotten to this part and haven’t seen anything new, you’re pretty well off! This is the hardest one to accomplish. I’m still working on mine.
This is the highest form of online sales and the most efficient. That being said, this is also the most difficult to actually create.

I hope that this checklist has made it very clear that we can all do better! Sales and marketing are difficult but if you set your goals on one of these tools, it can be exciting and generate amazing results!
I do not have all of these methods set up. I use what is beneficial to me. This is an exercise to open your mind to the many possibilities there are to generate more sales. Experiment. Mix and match. Find out what works for you.
